A huge thank you to Taggart Landscape Supplies for the finishing touches to our brand new gaga dodgeball pit. We are so close to finished. The PTA have been incredible in their support of this venture (18 months from start to finish) and Gary has once again excelled with his expertise and quality workmanship. The tamariki just can’t wait to get to use this. Roll on next week!! We will have a timetable in place of who can use it when so that we keep everyone as safe as we can. Come on down at a break times and see what all the excitement is about... by Tuesday we should be up and running … fingers crossed.

Today Harakeke students went down to the Ashley Rakahuri River as part of their Turangawaewae unit. Siobhan and Zoe from Enviro Schools met everyone there and taught the tamariki all about wrybill and their predators and also about invertebrates. The children were looking at a water sample and then comparing their invertebrates to a chart as the type of invertebrates found determines how healthy the river is. It was so much fun and caused so much excitement. These trips can't happen without a huge amount of parental support, and teacher organisation so thank you to all involved.
