Today we farewell Krysta who is due to have her baby next week!! Krysta has been with us for nearly two years and been Deputy Principal release teacher in Harakeke, release teacher in Mānuka Teina and general classroom release teacher across the school. She has made a huge contribution to our kura and has left a legacy with the work she has done with Enviro Schools. We can’t wait to meet new Baby Taylor.

Congratulations to all our poetry finalists today. It takes a lot of courage to stand in front of your peers to share your poems. The delivery of these was outstanding with some very close results.

Ashley Rakahuri School is running a Readathon fundraiser to assist us in raising funds to build a new school playground.

A new playground will provide our students with amazing outdoor play and learning spaces - improving these means we can transform these spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and exploration! We're passionate about providing an enriching environment for our students, fostering their physical, social, and cognitive development.

Your contribution will directly impact the well-being and education of both our current and future students.

Our students will come together and participate in our Readathon. They will be seeking online sponsorship for their efforts, all funds raised will go towards our new school playground.

As well as raising much needed funds for our school, our Readathon fundraiser will allow all of our students to further develop their reading, enhancing their vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking abilities.
